Congratulations to Joshua Leger who was recently awarded a STAR Student scholarship as well as a Lucky Day scholarship. Joshua plans to attend Ole Miss in the fall and study engineering. Joshua, along with Ms. Liz Patin, recently attend the Student-Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) luncheon hosted by the Mississippi Economic Council. This program recognizes high academic achievements and is the most prestigious educational recognition in the state. STAR students are seniors with high ACT scores (minimum 25) and grade averages at a minimum of 93. Students are chosen from more than 300 private, public, and parochial schools. Joshua’s STAR scholarship was made possible by the generosity of the Kelly Gene Cook, Sr. Charitable Foundation, Inc. Joshua Leger is a wonderful student and we are very proud of his accomplishments.
